Victoria River Downs is a cattle station located north west of Top Springs, off the Buchanan Highway.

Victoria River Downs Station was set up in 1883 and a hospital was built there by John Flynn after the malaria epidemic in the early 1920s. It remained in operation until 1942 and was run by the Australian Inland Mission. In its heyday, Victoria River Downs took in 30,000 square kilometres and had an airstrip, post office, police station, workshops and even an open-air cinema.
