from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Tullah located near Rosebery, close to Lake Rosebery, and this one time mining hamlet was only accessible by steam train up until the 1960s. In recent times it has served as a residential base for workers on the Hydro-Electric power scheme in the area.

The myriad of lakes that have resulted from the Hydro-Electric power scheme are ideal for trout fishing and various watersports. Forests and mountains can be explored at your leisure, or you can join a Moina Tour which arrange gold panning, fishing and bushwalking activities, night tours, animal spotting and 4WD adventures.

The Wee Georgie Railway operates during the summer months on certain days, and visitors can enjoy an authentic steam train trip through scenic countryside.

Radford Wood Crafts offer a wonderful choice of Tasmanian made crafts. Woods used here include Blackwood, Huon Pine, Tasmanian Oak, Myrtle and Sassafras, and the variety of crafts created is broad - bowls, vases, boards, platters, lamps, clocks and lots more besides.
