The Zig Zag Track, Tasmania : Main Article
View Source Page History Page Locked
from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Between West Creek Lookout and the Tahune Forest Reserve, and down beside the winding road, you will find the Zig Zag Track. At the top of the track, there are signs with information on the surrounding terrain. The track itself is quite steep, winding and potentially slippery in rainy weather, so only those visitors steady on their feet should attempt the 15 minute walk, taking you part way along the old Picton Pack Horse Trail.

The trees in this part of the forest are only young and have not been logged, and the contrast with other older areas of the forest is marked. As a point of warning, it may be wise for those of you taking the track to arrange to have your driver collect you at the bottom of the hill - it's a long way back up !
