The Arve Loop Road, Tasmania : Main Article
View Source Page History Page Locked
from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

The Arve Loop Road is a one way road which starts just before the West Creek Lookout on your way back to Geeveston, and which comes back out onto the Arve Road nearby to Keogh's Creek Walk. It is about a 10 minute deviation from the main road, but worth the time it takes.

The landscape in this part of the road is ever changing and dramatic : you pass masses of Leatherwood trees, and see the beehives by the side of the road; you are taken between forests that have never been logged, recently logged areas, and forest regeneration areas where the young trees are strong and tall. It is an area of anomalies, but it is an area that accurately represents the cycles in the Forests of southern Tasmania.
