Ranelagh is situated in the Huon Valley near Grove, Lucaston and Huonville.

The main attraction in this pleasant town is the Tasman Antique Motor Museum which was established in 1976 by Ken and Mary Hooper. Ken purchased his first vintage car, a 1934 Terraplane Sedan, in 1970. The Museum, which moved to Ranelagh in 1980, has a large collection of vintage cars including Fords, Austins, Fiats, Dodges and others. The oldest car in the 40 car collection is a 1906 2 cylinder Alldays and Onions. Other displays of motor accessories and memorabilia are on show to the public daily from 9am to 5pm. You will find the museum on Helen Street, phone (002) 64 1346.
