from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Quairading is located between Bruce Rock and York in the south west region of Western Australia. The name comes from the Aboriginal word "Kwirading", which translated means "the home of a small bush kangaroo".

Toapin Weir is the first example of a water supply, completed in 1912 from a water network in a rock catchment. This supply was used to serve the farms of the area and is still used as a water supply today.

The Quairading Heritage trail incorporates many historic and natural attractions in the town and throughout the area. The trail begins in the town of Dangin.
