Banning a User, Domain, or IP Address Block : Main Article
View Source Page History Page Locked
from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

OZpedia reserves the right to Ban a user from registering or editing pages.

A User can be Banned for abusing the system or abusing other Users.

This does not contravene the Public Domain, free access nature of OZpedia, but protects OZpedia and it's legitimate users.

Registered Users

The registered account will be banned from login.

Registered Users can also be banned from editing pages by accessing OZpedia from a banned IP address. If this affects you and you are a legitimate user, please contact Support.

New Registrations

If a Domain is the source of multiple Banned Users, for example 'hotmail.com' all future eMail addresses from this Domain will be blocked from registration.

If an IP Address is the source of multiple Banned Users, the Class C address block will be banned from Registration.

Note

Basically, once banned always banned.

Since the Internet is anonymous and OZpedia needs to try to control the accuracy of it's content, you need to prove who you are to OZpedia for us to remove any ban.

See Dispute Resolution.
