Marrawah, Tasmania : Main Article
This mainly dairy farming settlement is situated 48 kilometres west of Smithton in the extreme north west of Tasmania.
Mt Cameron West is an important Aboriginal site, as it has an amazing wealth of carvings and rock art similar to the types found in the central desert of Australia.
The Arthur River is located 15 kilometres to the south of the town, and the cruiser "George Robinson" regularly operates scenic cruises as far as the confluence of the Arthur and Frankland rivers. You can also hire a boat or dinghy from Arthur River Canoe and Boat Hire. Great fishing and beachcombing activities can be enjoyed here also.
A scenic drive from Marrawah, inland to Rebecca Creek and Smithton via Edith Creek is possible.
