More than just a library, visitors to the State Library can enjoy exhibitions and displays, watch film or video, read newspapers, trace family history, view thousands of historic photos, read in any of 46 languages, browse or research and lots more. The unique Australian Research Collections of David Scott Mitchell and Sir William Dixson are housed in the historic Mitchell wing, along with original manuscripts and pictures. There is also a business information service.
