from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Learmonth is located in the Cape Range Region of Western Australia and lies between the towns of Exmouth and Coral Bay.

The Cape Range National Park is one of the major attractions in the area and offers the visitor spectacular gorge landscapes, oceanscapes and abundant native flora and fauna to admire.

Safe swimming and excellent fishing can be enjoyed at the Learmonth jetty, with catches of bream, whiting, queenfish and mackerel all possible at high tide. Watch the prawn trawlers refuel here.

At nearby Wapet Creek the remains of the barges and landing craft used in Operation Potshot in WWII which were moored here can be found about half a mile inland where incredibly they were blown during a cyclone.
