Situated 40km north east of Currie on King Island, the Lavinia Nature Reserve supports a variety of coastal vegetation types. The area contains significant wetlands, including Lake Martha Lavinia and the Sea Elephant River estuary.

The reserve is particularly significant because it preserves part of the habitat of the endangered orange-bellied parrot, and is excellent for nature study. There are regular air services from Melbourne and Wynyard to Currie.

The reserve is 6,800 hectares in size, and facilities include :

Boat Ramp Camping
Fishing Swimming

No pets allowed
