Lake Barrington is situated near Sheffield, Gowrie Park and Wilmot in north western Tasmania. The lake is world renowned for its challenging rowing courses, and accommodation is available at the Lake Barrington Outdoor Leadership Centre.

Lake Barrington State Recreation Area covers an area of 278 hectares in total, and offers you the chance to partake in a rowing or canoe course on the man made lake. There are delightful forest and parkland areas for you to enjoy surrounding the lake.
