Koorda, Western Australia : Main Article
Koorda is located in the wheat growing region of Western Australia near the settlements of Bencubbin and Wyalkatchem. The explorer JS Roe camped near the present day townsite on one of his expeditions to explore the Avon Valley in 1836.
Historic Attractions
The Koorda Heritage Trail has two main sections, the first a stroll through the town to view the Pioneer Memorials and the second, a 16 kilometre drive through the surrounding countryside past farmland to a wildflower park, usually awash with colour in Springtime.
Koorda Museum was originally a hospital until the beginning of WWII. Today the buildings houses a collection of old hospital and surgical equipment in addition to a display of farm machinery and early pioneer household utensils.
Natural Attractions
View Redcliffe, an amazing geological formation situated near the town or visit Lions Park and enjoy leisurely strolls, picnics and playground facilities for the children.

Koorda is home to the CBH transport of cereal grain headquarters in the region. Tours of the complex are available and can be arranged by contacting the Tourist Centre in Koorda at 096 - 84 1219.
Cottage Crafts has been developed by the Co-Op of Wheatbelt Cottage Industries as a showcase for the talents of the local women in the area. Various cottage crafts are on the show for visitor perusal. During November visitors can observe the art of Corn Dolly making or participate in Corn Dolly workshops.
