Obviously the big attraction is just waiting for you to discover it. This is an impressive canyon located within the Watarraka National Park will offer you stunning views from the top which are absolutely exhilarating.

Amongst the other interesting features to be found in the vicinity here are a waterhole named 'The Garden of Eden' with its palms and ferns, and the 'Lost City', the eroded remains of domes which give the impression of an abandoned city.

On the way from the Stuart Highway to the Watarraka National Park, you may like to stop at the Illamurta Springs Conservation Reserve. It was here at the end of the last century that a police camp was set up in an effort to do something about the level of cattle killings that was occurring at the time.

Today all that remains of this era are a number of buildings which have been left vacant since 1912, when the camp closed. The reserve is only accessible to 4WD's.
