Governor Island Marine Reserve, Tasmania : Main Article
View Source Page History Page Locked
from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

The island is just across the stretch of water from Bicheno known as the Gulch. Governor Island Marine Reserve covers an area of 60 hectares in total. There are all sorts of fabulous examples of marine life with invertebrates like seawhips and yellow zooanthids being just two of countless examples of what you can expect to see.

There are caves, and of course the popular thing to do whilst here is to go diving. Because of the deepness of the water and the strong currents, scuba diving and snorkelling is advised for the experienced only. For those who do not partake in these activities there are still plenty of other options, including boating.
