from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Dip Falls is a spectacular double waterfall located 40 kilometres from Smithton in the north western area of Tasmania. Visitors can descend the thick cut steps through the lush rain forest to reach the base of the falls.

Huge eucalypts tower around the falls, surviving the saw mill due to the fact that they were too large to transport ! The nearby Black River has an idyllic picnic and barbecue area.
