from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Corroboree Park is about 170 kilometres east of Darwin on the Arnhem Highway, on the way to the Kakadu National Park.

It sits on the Marrakai Plains, which form part of a Conservation Reserve. The area is an ornithologist's paradise, with a rich selection of birdlife to be found, including egrets, brolgas, and magpie geese.

The town consists primarily of the Corroboree Park Tavern - a roadhouse which services the area. It has good tourist facilities, including accommodation, caravans and camping grounds. It has good tourist information, a tavern (bar), bistro meals, souvenirs, takeaway food and fuel service.

Fishing is very good at nearby Corroboree Lagoon, and it is a popular place for travellers to take a relaxing break.
