Chapman Valley, Western Australia : Main Article
Chapman Valley is located along the banks of the Chapman River, a mere 40 kilometres north east of Geraldton. The river was discovered by Sir George Grey who would later become Governor of the colony, in 1839.
Natural Attractions
There are many natural attractions in the area including the Chapman River Valley itself and Waggrakine Lookout(Mills Park) rewards with superb views of the Valley. See the amazing growing mud pile known as Erupting Mud, located in the Moresby Ranges.
Nearby natural attractions include the Fauna and Flora Reserve at Yuna with beautiful wildflowers set amidst unusual rock formations and Coronation Beach, a popular resort for fishermen, campers and windsurfing fanatics.
Other Attractions
Visitors interested in the early history and development of the area can embark on the Chapman Valley Heritage Trail which passes 23 sites of historic importance to the region along the Yuna-Geraldton rail line.
