Capel is situated between Bunbury and Busselton in the south west region of the State. The area is well known as a centre for dairy and cattle farming. The region is a primary source of mineral sands in Western Australia.


The Peppermint Creek Wildflower Nursery is located along McTaggert Road and has displays of fresh and dried wildflowers and local arts and crafts.

The Ludlow Tuart Forest is located between Capel and the Sabina River. A picnic area with numerous forest walks to explore.
