from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Broadmarsh is a small country village nearby to Elderslie village. It is located in the picturesque Jordan Valley, 36 kilometres north of Hobart, commonly referred to as Tasmania's best kept secret. The valley was originally the route for Aboriginals travelling from the coastland to the hunting grounds in the central highlands.

Visitors to this relaxed little hamlet will be impressed by the historic colonial style freestone and brick buildings that still remain in the secluded village. Remnants of Aboriginal campsites and artefacts may be inspected at various sites in the area. An 18-hole golf course provides sporting relaxation in a picturesque environment.
