Boddington is situated on the Hotham River near the towns of Marradong and Dwarda in the south west of the State. Perth is 123 kilometres north west of the settlement. The town gains its name from a shepherd named Henry Boddington who camped near a pool which he named Boddington's Pool.


Natural Attractions

Lions weir is an ideal camping and watersports area. Canoes and tents can be hired from the caretaker at the weir which can be found along the Wuraming road.

The Boddington State Forest is perfect for bushwalking, nature study and photography as it has abundant examples of pretty wildflower species and other native flora and fauna species.

Other Attractions

The Worsley Alumina Project provides the main economic prosperity for the district and the bauxite mined here is sent to Collie on the longest conveyor belt in the world.

The Boddington Art and Crafts Centre supports local artists by giving them a showcase on which to display their talents. Visitors can browse through a wide selection of craft works each afternoon. The premises is located on Johnstone street.
