Bencubbin is located in the north eastern wheatbelt region of Western Australia and lies near the towns of Koorda and Mukinbudin. The name of the town derives from the Aboriginal word "Gnylbencubbing" and was first settled in the early years of this century.


Historic Attractions

Bates Museum has a variety of historical items on display, from restored tractors to bottles, telephones coins and stones.

The Mt Marshall Shire Museum exhibits various old memorabilia relating to the history of the shire. Also on display is a meteorite piece found within the area.

Natural Attractions

Marshall Rock is a very popular picnic venue en route to Welbungin. Pergandes Sheep Yards, 12 kilometres south east of the town resembles a mini Stonehenge and the granite outcrops once served as sheep yards, hence the name.
