from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Barnes Bay is situated on the north island of Bruny Island, in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel of southern Tasmania. It is a very peaceful harbour, surrounded by both pastures and bush land. There are a few dwellings in the area, mainly belonging to the farmers and their families.

There is a jetty for use by both locals and visitors, and an abundance of sea life - mainly mussels and fish - can be found in the nearby waters.
