Botany Bay National Park was the site of Captain James Cook's first landing in 1770. Today, the rugged beauty which Cook must have appreciated remains to delight the visitor - despite the development of nearby Sydney.

A wide range of wheelchair friendly walking trails - including the Monument and the Banks-Solander Tracks - incorporate craggy sea cliffs, abundant native flora and fauna, and a vast array of maritime history. Pay a visit to the La Perouse Museum on the northern headland of Botany Bay, and discover this rich maritime heritage for yourself.
