Ashton is within easy range of Adelaide, being located to the south east of the city.

The area is well known for its apples and pears which are in abundance. The trees take on a completely different form with the arrival of Ocober, when they are in full bloom with mad shades of pink to be detected amongst their blossoms. Apart form the countless acres of trees in the vicinity, there is also Ashton Hills Winery which makes an interesting visit for wine connoisseurs.
