from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Arthur River is a little village on the west coast of Tasmania, just 20 kilometres from Marrawah. The well stocked rivers and streams make this a popular holiday resort for fishermen. The local speciality of Crayfish may be bought fresh from Couta Rocks, south of Arthur River.

Arthur River cruises on board the M.V. George Robinson are popular with visitors to this scenic area. The cruiser glides upstream to the confluence of the Frankland River, and has a stopping point at Turks Landing where passengers can embark on a guided bushwalk through ancient rainforest.

Opportunities to observe the rare white bellied sea eagles feeding are available to passengers on board. Twilight cruises run from November through to February. Visitors who wish to explore the river at their leisure may hire canoes from Arthur River Canoe and Boat Hire, and take to the waters with paddlepower.
