from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Arno Bay is 26 kilometres from Cleve and halfway between Port Neill and Cowell. It started out its life as a shipping port. Various reminders of these early days can be seen in the old beacon and 'super' shed which both still exist today all of these years later.

Its location by the sea offers visitors a whole host of interesting activities to engage in. These range from fishing to boating. Fishing is particularly popular. You can either take a boat out or try your luck from the jetty or from the rocks at Redbanks which is 6 kilometres away. Amongst the fish that you may encounter here are yellowfin whiting, mullet, garfish, salmon trout and snapper. Redbanks is also an area of interest because of its status as a designated geological area. It has rocky pools which will provide you with hours of fun exploring them.

There are golf, squash and tennis facilities, as well as regular yachting meetings.
