from 'OZpedia the Free Guide'

Ansons Bay sits on the east coast of Tasmania, to the south of the Mount William National Park. Thirteen kilometres away is the historic Eddystone Lighthouse, built in the late 1880s and overlooking the Bay of Fires.

Ansons Bay's waters are protected, and are therefore ideal for swimming and other recreational water activities. For those wishing to drop a line, the bream is also a good catch in the area. South of Ansons Bay is Humbug Point State Recreation Area, with picnic and camping facilities.
